Intralesional Chemotherapy

Intra-lesional chemotherapy involves the injection of chemotherapy directly into a tumor. Image guidance is used to place a needle into the tumor. Chemotherapeutic agents can then be injected directly into the tumor. By placing chemotherapy directly into the tumor, higher concentrations can be achieved within the tumor.
